Comets, Stars + Planets 2" Glass Sphere

In the Comets, Stars + Planets series, colors are produced by adding precious metals and gems while shaping the hot borosilicate (hard) glass. Comets are made from chunks of fuming gold and silver, the planets are round opal gemstones and the stars are pieces of gold, silver and crushed opal. These mystifying spheres of beauty and fascination will be enjoyed for generations to come. Designed and hand fabricated by Scott Hronich.
